Beautiful Belgium

Year Seven Belgian trippers enjoyed developing their French speaking skills and cultural knowledge as they visited the charming city of Bruges and our partner school this week.

The Education Secretary visits Thomas Estley!

Thomas Estley was delighted to welcome Nicky Morgan, the Education Secretary, today for a Q & A session with a selection of teachers from our Teaching School Alliance. A wide range of topics was covered ranging from EBacc curriculum plans to the work of the teaching school.


Food for our community

Harvest collection for our community food banks! Last month we were proud of our students and staff as they donated food for two local food banks, Lutterworth and Narborough. The collection was organised by our college Christian group, who have also supported a sponsored child for several years now, and whose charity Pancake Day pancake

Our nationally renowned Year Nine Specialisms programme, unique locally, develops leadership qualities, creative thinking, teamwork, reflection and independence to prepare our students for further study and work. Thomas Estley are English National Champions!

Tuesday May 20th saw Thomas Estley’s U13 Girls play in their 2nd National Cup Final, a repeat of last year, this year determined to win!. Thomas Telford from Shropshire were the opponents and it took 14 minutes for Thomas Estley to take the lead, a great clearance from Captain Sinead Samarczuk in defence was played


Netball Success!

Our Year 7 Netball girls came 2nd and 3rd in their tournament at PGL Liddington last weekend. They were presented their medals by Kadeen Corbin who is an England International Netball Player and is due to represent England in the Commonwealth Games.  


ArtsAward students’ Birmingham prints

Thomas Estley ArtsAward students visited the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery and took part in a “Pattern and Print ” art workshop, creating some beautiful and memorable images. Our ArtsAward continues to be one of the highlights of our Specialisms curriculum and extracurricular offer, combining leadership and creative opportunities.
